This year I was absolutely thrilled to help my friends at the Kennett Brewing Company with their kickstarter campaign and by designing the first ever KBC Mug Club mugs. These 50 mugs will be distributed to the exclusive Mug Club members upon the opening of the Kennett Brewing Company this fall.
Each mug is a unique work of art: hand thrown on the wheel, stamped with the iconic “hop skull” logo, and glazed in two colors green and blue.
Throughout the process of making the beer steins I wanted to get the community excited about the KBC Mug Club and help Chris’ Kick start campaign. Two months ago today, I glazed the first two mugs and posted them on Facebook so people could see the mugs and vote for their favorite color. This post got over 1,000 views and sparked lots of conversation about the Kennett Brewing Company. Thanks to lots of local businesses and contributors, KBC was able to exceed their fundraising goal! Now it is just a matter of time and hard work to get everything up to Kennett Borough code and finished off so the brewing can begin. I’m sure it will soon be a town favorite!
Please be sure to stop in 109 S. Broad Street in Kennett Square and say hello to the owners Jen & Chris Braunstein and Jossy & Mark Osborne as they prepare for their grand opening.
